some question about line mark

and I am a beginner, and I have many similar questions like this. Where should I go to discuss these issues?

If you want to overlap years, you have to replace the x: "date" channel with something that overlaps, such as mapping the dates to day-of-year number (0 for January 1, 1 for January 2, and so on).
