It would be nice to have a feature in the style of Aidoku where when adding tracking to a given series, the app will notify you that your tracker (Anilist, MAL, etc.) has a higher chapter count than the one you have in the app and allow you to overwrite your chapter count in app with the one in the tracker by marking things as read for you.
Other details
In Aidoku, this only happens during the aforementioned initial tracker setup and if you force it manually.
Ideally if this feature were to be implemented I would like for it to have an option to periodically check for changes and mark things as read automatically or show a discrepancy popup that lets you correct the mismatch.
I find this feature extremely useful even in its more barebones state in Aidoku as I read across my PC, phone, tablet and reader. All of which use different apps and thus my need for letting the tracker govern over the apps and not the other way around as is currently implemented.
Thanks.

I have searched the existing issues and this is a new ticket, NOT a duplicate or related to another open issue.
I have written a short but informative title.
If this is an request for a feature in the original Tachiyomi, I am opening because multiple versions of Yōkai have been released without this feature.
If this is an issue with an extension, or a request for an extension, I should be contacting the extensions repository's maintainer/support for help.
