I've discovered there seems to be a significant delay between the controller and a Mininet switch when delivering Openflow messages. When testing the response time, it at some points reaches upwards of 0.5 seconds to send a message and then get a response (uncertain how to isolate the true time in transit) while others it takes significantly less time in the range of 0.001 seconds for message and response. Is there a means to stabilize this performance? It is drastically affecting the ability of my research to categorize latency improvements within my network.
