Trying to install node v4.2.1-x64.MSI on my Win 7 64 PC

but it fails almost imediately with

There is a problem with this windows installer package
a DLL required for this install to complete could not be
run. Contact support personel or package vendor

How do I fix this ?

@DonRecardo what happens if you use the 32-bit installer?

Thank you all for your help and advice

I followed it and deleted the temp folder and now it has installed fine

I tried to deleted temp files but it doent helped. I solve this by installing with REVO uninstaller PRO. I never used this REVO to install, but in this case, works, dont know why.

In my case, I had to install the msi as an administrator. See this article for how to do it
