It was also my first collaborators summit. + +I felt a little like a fish out of water amongst so many people who'd been involved much longer and much more deeply than I. Something really struck me though when Mikeal took the stage (he MC'd the event). I immediately felt the energy he brought. I remember he took a crack at Joe McCann, introducing him as a "Texas resident for tax purposes". Later, during the collaborators summit, I had a chance to talk with him and I saw the same enthusiasm for Node that he showed on stage. But he wasn't on stage. There was no audience to engage. It was just him. The enthusiasm and energy he emitted was genuine.
