User status of local users in a federated room are missing

Steps to reproduce

1. Host room A on Server A
2. Invite users alice, bob and charlie on Server B to room A
3. As alice join the conversation

Expected behaviour

I should see the user status (message) of bob and charlie in the participant tab

Actual behaviour

Only online, away, dnd are visible, there's no subline with the user status message.
