unlock with fingerprint (as actual nextcloud dev android app does) |
@jones4410, that's more like a feature request than an actual design idea. |
@animalillo Might it be good idea to put the keypad farther up? For me the ideal area is in the top middle of the screen. |
By the keypad you mean the on screen keyboard? If so: I don't think moving the standard keyboard position is a good idea because nobody would expect it and some users might even freak out. Also, i don't even know if it's posible, but as i said i don't think it's a good idea. As i side note: I only have small screen phones, i don't like big phones, i like something that fits nicely on my pocket. I wonder if there will be any existing small screen phones when i need to change my current one (4.5" and already feels way too big). |
Mmm, just tried again after the recent update and as I remembered the password for the vault (it is VERY long to put it each time on a mobile device) I feel unprotected right now. As fingerprint unlock is in the TODO list, what about a simpler 4 digits unlocker like Nextcloud android app does? I think it fits on "design" ideas and it would increase security. On the other hand, I have around 1000 passwords on the vault, so a search field and/or a scroll by letter would be great. For the search field, I would use the same technique as the passman web extension: put a magnifying glass icon which expands into a textfield when the user taps on it and filters the passwords list by searching the name, website name, or any significant field. The scroll aid is the typical from android: when you start to scroll down/up, a letter appears at right, pointing where on the alphabet are the passwords shown on the screen and a scrollbar appears also for the user to drag and scroll faster to the desired letter. |
It would be cool if the login screen would match the official apps one. Without a selection for protocol needed (default https with fallback to http). |
