Methodology

How to appreciate modern art (or abstract art at least). I learned this technique from a guided tour in SFMoMA.

1. Start with basics, lines shapes colors, just describe what you see, do not interpret.
2. Get into artists head
3. You re in dialog with the artist
4. Take your time Ellsworth Kelly
5. Focus on your emotions Morris Louis
6. Your 5 year old cannot do this Cy Twombly
7. You can break all the rules.
