The merge of the changes above was nontrivial; see the branch history
for the order of the merge and any merge conflict resolution actions.

The changes for #35 modify an externally visible API that is used
in a few existing CFS applications. This integration will be
coordinated with a corresponding integration of the appropriate
change to the CFS application providing compatibility.

Another changeset to merge came up during testing:

Now testing Git Commit [changeset:7d6f6d0] as the merge
for this integration candidate, using the ic-2015-03-10
branch.

As of 2015-04-10, the development branch of cfs_cfe
has been advanced to include
the merge commit [changeset:7d6f6d0]
and the followup edit [changeset:545cc1d].
We are now Live.
