I'm guessing this is related to #317

Indeed it is. I'll try to get this resolved as soon as I can.

Same for me. The first change works, the second one stops the app. I don't have any visible error though.
One other thing that I've noticed is that now, on the first change that is working, I get the name of the desktop in the bottom, like I do when I change directly in Windows. Previously, I did not have this displayed.

I'm also using zVirtualDesktop_Win11_22H2.exe.

It happened after windows update (although I did not upgrade to the newer version, just some .net and antivirus updates).

In the events I can see these:

Faulting application name: zVirtualDesktop_Win11_22H2.exe, version: 1.0.98.16, time stamp: 0x64fd031e

@mzomparelli do you have news on it. Is there something we can do to mitigate this?

Yeah I'm dying with the Windows 11 built-in functionality 😭

What I've done in the meantime is go into Windows settings, updates, and uninstall the latest Windows update. zVD is back to working again.

Rolling back windows updates didn't work for me, maybe I didn't find the right one to roll back.
Missing zVD very much. It was quite an essential part of my daily workflow.

Hi. I am able to report this new zVD build is now working on version 22H2 OS Build 22621.2861. Thank you!

Thank you very much, it's working again now. The last few months have shown me how much I depend on zVD.

One small inconvenience remains.
The following (blocking) message is displayed on startup
"Download the version for your Windows build 22631."
But apart from that, everything is working fine.

To show my gratitude, I joined your Patreon today.
Have a happy new year.

Just to avoid confusion. I'm on Win11 23H2, since this issue is about 22H2.

Windows 11 Home 23H2
Build 22631.2861

The new 22H2 version is working with 23H2, apart from the blocking message box at start.
So this might be good news for #317 as well.

I'm running Windows 11 23H2 build 22635.2915 - I get the following popups upon launch:

(1) Download the version for your Windows build 22635 -> press ok

(2) Need to include the app manifest in your project so as to target Windows 10. And, run without debugging.

After pressing okay with the second popup, app closes automatically.

I am still working to support the insider version. I should have it ready soon.

I'm running Windows 11 23H2 build 22635.2915 as well and tried the zVirtualDesktop_Insider.exe.
(1) is not appearing with that but I get still error (2) with the manifest.

@Steffenju95 I should have this working on that build next week.
