Formatting lost when special character copied and pasted from one text object to another

Description with steps to reproduce

1. Create a system text object and select it.
2. Go to Properties.
3. Insert special characters -> Musical symbols -> Arrows and arrowheads
4. Click on an arrow.
5. Change its size in Properties -> Text
6. Select the arrowhead and copy/paste it to another system text object.

Expected: The arrow keeps the modified size.
Actual: The arrow no longer has the modified size.

Other text works fine.

Further experience has shown me that this is true for all text objects, including roman numeral notation. Dynamic markings (p, f, etc.) work fine as do hairpins.

To the developer that works this ticket: Musescore gets into a state where attempting a change the color of a text object causes a crash. I can't figure out how to reproduce it, so I can't cut a ticket. It crashes after the color picker is displayed and a color is selected anywhere, and it's instant (on mouse down), the dialog doesn't need to be dismissed. This is odd because as I recall the Windows OS handles all of picker functionality. So, while you have the hood up, it might be worth your while to check whether there's something in the API (maybe a callback) that isn't being handled. Although it acts like an out of memory error, Musescore itself is not running out of heap space. The problem survives reboots when it is occuring. The only clue I have is that adding a measure to the end of the score clears the problem. Sometimes it comes back right away, sometimes it doesn't. I know that's not much to go on. Intermittent bugs are forged in the fires of hell, you know? I do have a Musescore diagnostic dump if that would be helpful. I have not looked at it.
