inventory items with space in it come back with Forbidden error

On 5.8.0.4284 when i go into the inventory report and select any application/item that has a space in it, the resulting page comes up as:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access this resource.

not sure when this was introduced - but somewhat recently. my guess it is may have been working on 5.6?
