Feature description

internet-usage

Here is how the network usage page displays usage when using the VPN. Not sure why other apps are shown at all, but most obviously, apps using the VPN make this stat page useless.

I have an issue with cell data being eaten up extremely, without finding the responsible app, my 5GB cell data last 2 days.

Alternative solutions

It would be great if both mobile and desktop app could keep track of the amount of data sent per app.

Keep it minimal, but these would be useful

  • cell data vs wifi (read network state while in use)
  • foreground or background (likely requires "usage stats" or GET_TASKS access (Android), only detects the foreground app, may not be possible on Linux yet)

logging should be able to be toggled, as well as app usage, as they can be seen as invasive.

Type of feature

  • Better privacy/anonymity
  • Better at circumventing censorship
  • Easier to use
  • Other

Operating System

  • Android
  • iOS
  • Windows
  • macOS
  • Linux
