Hi I am trying to create a blank retail image. I am able to complete process in IOT powershell. However the device (Raspberry Pi 3b) wont progress beyond windows Icon.
Have raised the issue with Microsoft. It seems I have multiple issues
They say the certificate(Sectigo standard) I am using which is SHA384 is not supported I should use SHA256 and they recommend use of an earlier version Windows 10 than I have installed on my laptop. I am not sure what cert to get , Sectigo was recommended from MS website, how will I know if the next cert I get meets the requirements...
Also regarding the cross sign process, I am not sure if I needed or not. The cross-sign certs available for download have mostly expired
Microsoft recommends I need to be using a later version of the IOT Core image 17763.1577 vs 17763.253 if I don't want to use the cross sign process.
However this version is not available unless your on ltsc channel iot core.
My questions are. Has anyone created a retail image recently without being on ltsc channel? What certificate did you use, was it cross-signed to root that has not expired yet or did you use a different signing process. Surely it is possible to generate retail image with the free tools and a standard cert.
Thanks!
Michael
