[mac desktop app] UI colors make things hard to see/read

Just tried out the macOS .app file (from zip), but there's lots of white text on white backgrounds.

Have you tried it on macOS Sequoia, yet?

Sadly we use Gooey for the dark mode and they have an open issue for this: chriskiehl/Gooey#543 , I agree it does look awful. I'll try to see if there is anyway to override these.

@a4v2d4 unrelated, #119 is how I am planning on dealing with Playoff games. I'm not sure the logic in your branch is correct.
