Before submitting a bug report

  • I updated to the latest version of Multi-Account Container and tested if I can reproduce the issue
  • I searched for existing reports to see if it hasn't already been reported

Step to reproduce

  1. Create two tabs.
  2. Nest tab 2 under tab 1.
  3. Create a third tab and nest tab 1 under tab 3.
  4. Drag any parent tab in the current tree to any of their child tabs.

Actual behavior

The entire tree nested under the selected the parent tab becomes unnested.

Expected behavior

Nothing or the top child under the parent tab being moved should become the new parent tab.

Additional informations

I can only reproduce this bug after a tree is nested to separate tab not in the tree. It does not work if I simply create new tabs and add them to an existing tree and try to move any of the parent tabs in that tree to a child tab.

@gaderic

Nested tabs are not a standard feature of Firefox, but there are extensions that can provide them, which I assume you're using.

Are you sure this is a bug in Multi Account Containers rather than a bug in whatever nested tabs add-on you're using?

My apologies. I cannot fully remember what happened months ago but I use an extension now called Sideberry for tree styled browser tabs. I don't think that is what I was using last December (I think it was "Tree Styled Tabs"?) but this must have been something related to an extension I confused as part of this FireFox feature.
