Map mesh volume display

Hello,
I have noticed that after opening a mtz file with auto open mtz, the meshed volume sometimes has a bunch of lines going around. They rotate with the view. They disappear if I decrease the map sampling rate but they are very visible with the default settings.
Is there anything that can be done about this?
