Do we need to connect pin 14 and 15 on the teensy?

I don't quite understand the teensy circuit diagram and the code that goes with it. Correct me if I am wrong, but nowhere in the code do we use pin 14 and 15. Thus, I am confused about the SIG1 and SIG2 lines from pin 14 and 15. I am not an expert in reading schematics, so any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have not built one of the cars yet, but from my knowledge of schematics, pins 14 and 15 do not need to be connected anywhere. The labels SIG1 and SIG2 on pin 14 and pin 15 in the schematic may be errors.
