Please confirm these before moving forward

  • I have searched for my issue and not found a work-in-progress/duplicate/resolved issue.
  • I have not been informed if the issue is resolved in a preview version of the winget client.

Installation issue.

Brief description of your issue

ShellExecuteEx failed; code 67.
The network name cannot be found.

Steps to reproduce

winget update

Actual behavior

  1. ShellExecuteEx failed; code 67.
    The network name cannot be found.

  2. click ok

  3. Installer failed with exit code: 1

Expected behavior

update

This was a known issue microsoft/winget-cli#2740 that was resolved in 1.5 version of WinGet CLI. Can you upgrade to the current WinGet 1.5 version from the releases page and see if that resolves the issue?

Tried with Windows Package Manager 1.6.1573-preview

Able to update when running with non-admin microsoft/winget-cli#3303 (comment)
