Stage selected lines works in source control view only #42909

  • VSCode Version: 1.20.0-insider
  • OS Version:4.14.14-1-ARCH

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Select lines you want to stage in your file and hit Ctrl-Shift-P with Git: Stage selected Ranges
  2. Switch to Source Control View Ctrl-Shift-G and refresh. I see no lines staged there

Expected behaviour:

Stage selected ranges should work from all editor views, not only while being in Source Control View.

Does this issue occur when all extensions are disabled?: Yes

For me the unstage selected Ranges functionality does not work in git view as well
