Autopep8 not working ...

Note the issue i am experiencing is related to autopep8 itself and NOT he vscode issue fixed last September.

black continues to works and so i am falling back to it for now.

executing autopep8 --diff produces no output and rc=0. whereas the same command line with black produces the expected output.

Sorry, I don't quite follow what the issue is. Are you saying you need help with autopep8 itself, or that you believe our support for autopep8 is broken? If it's the latter then please open an issue.
