Make modules pinnable. #30800
Comments
The tray icon has a flyout menu on a single click. Would that help? |
Yes. If you select "More" you can find a list of all tools and you can turn them on or off. Note that only a number of tools can actually the opened in a stand-alone manner. |
I know that. To be honest, I find this flyout thing with nothing to show for quite useless. Maybe it works for others, but all the modules I use frequently are not in here. Why not add a pin or a star symbol there and put pinned/starred modules between enabled and disabled modules? Best of both worlds? |
#24880 is an issue where a concept for a new, different version is coined. Curious to know what you think. |
Looks less empty than now. 😉 If I can sort this thing or hide entries (and/or pin my favorite modules there 😀 ), sure, why not! Looking forward to giving it a try! |

I really don't think so. Please re-read the description. I do not want to pin to the taskbar / startmenu but inside PowerToys. |
So, I guess I'll just open a new issue. |
/dup #24283 |
Hi! We've identified this issue as a duplicate of another one that already exists on this Issue Tracker. This specific instance is being closed in favor of tracking the concern over on the referenced thread. Thanks for your report! |
Description of the new feature / enhancement
When I have to disable the "Keyboard Manager" module because of #1881, it vanishes in the mist of all the other disabled modules. When I want to reactivate it again, I have to look for it. If there were an option to pin it, I wouldn't have to look for it.
Scenario when this would be used?
Every time someone activates and deactivates a module frequently.
