Snip.Do [Pantherbar]+ Copy Paste 4.4.2 (very old mac tool [NOT the newer pro version of the same name]) #27663
Comments
Have you tried pressing Win + V? It opens up a clipboard history window. This is built into Windows, and might be at least part of what you are looking for. |
there is a host of variations of this, /dup #1758 will be where i'll mark this against |
Hi! We've identified this issue as a duplicate of another one that already exists on this Issue Tracker. This specific instance is being closed in favor of tracking the concern over on the referenced thread. Thanks for your report! |
I've tried more copy/paste tools than I can remember, all do more than Win/V in varying degrees of not want I'm looking for :) the closest that has some use is mentioned in my OP also ClipCube (not bad but not quite there), Arsclip, copyq-v3, ClipboardExtender, Ditto (i think this was ok, but again... not quite copy-paste 2.5), clipdiary, clipmate, CopyTextContent, oneoone, parcellite and many more i've forgotten - i've been down the rabbit hole. :) |
id have liked to have seen that thread but as this is a bot reply I'll assume this was a polite gbrush off comment saying we have no intention of looking in ot this any further. Thanks, i guess. |
I really like popclip on Mac, I haven't used snipdo yet. |
Description of the new feature / enhancement
Both tools below are exceptionally useful and were massively missed when I left oSX for good. Pantherbar (panther....) has seen an iteration on Windows in the form of Pantherbar now renamed to Snip.DO. Which I was happy to see and have been purchasing ever since.
CopyPaste 4.4.2 on the other hand in 2 decades has still yet to appear in a quality format : the bare minimum of similar I could find was a tool called Outreach Clipboard History but if you were to research CopyPaste 4.2.2 (not the current Copy paste PRO version which is a shadow of the original) you'll note just how feature rich this utility is and I can not express the many many ways I found it to be invluable in so many fields from all manner of video/audio/image and text usages to everyday management of information.
To my point, if both tools could be implemented into Power Toys, imo the term Power would be well and trully deserfved as would my opening my wallet to py for such a tool in a heart beat.
Its only been 21 years since missing Copy paste 4.2.2, Please not another 20.

Copy Paste 4.2.2 (old link with relevant info and images) : softonic were the original devs : it appears i cant find the exact links anymore but there still remains a tutorial (pro PRO version) here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7GHaVbksZY
PLEASE implement these tools into Power Toys.
thanmks
