Microsoft PowerToys version

0.63.0

Installation method

GitHub

Running as admin

Yes

Area(s) with issue?

Keyboard Manager

Steps to reproduce

  1. Install the parsec app from https://parsec.app/
  2. Create a shortcut remap (eg. remap Win + Tab to Alt + Tab)
  3. Try and use that remapped shortcut while parsec is focused by windows (doesn't matter if a connection is currently being made to a remote pc or not, parsec just has to be the active application)
  4. Observe that the remapped shortcut does not work (while it works properly when other applications are the focus)

Note: This may be related to #9138, where Parsec was added to the incompatibility list for Fancy Zones. It may be that parsec is incompatible with more aspects of PowerToys.

✔️ Expected Behavior

The remapped shortcut should always work

❌ Actual Behavior

The remapped shortcut does not work

Other Software

Note that the workaround for the fanzy zones issue also works here. Even if I do it from the host-side, where the original commenter specified not to that.

This occurs because Parsec runs as SYSTEM. FZ works if the Parsec Service is disabled before Parsec itself is started.

This is fine client-side for Parsec, but don't do this host-side. I will ask around on if there's anything we at Parsec can do about it.

edit: Kind of... It is very finnicky. And I am not totally certain whether that is because I am trying to rebind a high level shortcut (Win + Tab), or because it's breaking behind the scenes.
