Description of the new feature / enhancement

The clipboard history 'Win-V' is a brilliant feature, but once again Microsoft decided to discriminate left handed people so, 'Win+Instert' is not a standard shortcut for opening the clipboard ring.

One would think 'Power Toys' to the rescue, but remapping Win+Insert (or any other combo) to 'Win-V' does not work. The clipboard history pops up, but closes immediatly after releasing the keys.

I'm not sure that this can be fixed in powertoys, for all I know this is coded on purpose in the clipboard ring, to further discriminate those left handed things (Microsoft is far beyond treating them as humans).

Scenario when this would be used?

Left handed HUMANS

actually, 1758 isn't correct item. It is a different issue. Ultimately, our solution would be use keyboard manager to remap the shortcut.

@crutkas The solution you propose does not work (I'll repeat):

  • It is possible to map any key combo to "Windows+V" (e.g. Win+Insert or Ctrl+M or whatever)
  • Pressing the key will show the clipboard history
  • BUT it IMMEDIATELY closes when releasing the Win or Ctrl key.
  • So it does not work.
