  • Replace some bash-isms with calls to pssh to neatly parallelize cluster operations.
  • Remove unnecessary code to pre-approve SSH keys.
  • Decrease questionably high sleep times.

LGTM. Merging this. Note that we'll need to change spark_ec2.py in Spark's master branch to use this branch.
