Modifying updateCartPromotionsWorkflow in Medusa Core Workflows

I'm looking to customize the behavior of the updateCartPromotionsWorkflow in Medusa's core workflows to change how promotions are applied in my use case.

• If I create a custom workflow with the same name (updateCartPromotionsWorkflow), will it automatically override the original implementation in @medusajs/core-flows?
• Is there a recommended approach to edit or extend the @medusajs/core-flows package directly?

Context:
I'm specifically looking to modify the promotion application logic without breaking compatibility with future updates. Any guidance or best practices for handling this would be greatly appreciated!
