We're currently using "FineUploader":http://fineuploader.com/ through the gem "fineuploader-rails":https://github.com/mezis/fineuploader-rails to upload files to Mconf-Web.
The library is good, but their latest version with an open license (MIT and LGPL) is from March 2013. Newer versions have a commercial license.

There are several other options that might be just as good or even better than FineUploader.

Fine Uploader is switching back to MIT in version 5.9.0. Follow FineUploader/fine-uploader#1568 for updates. You'll find that all of the other options are lacking the features that Fine Uploader provides. Also, Fine Uploader is the only library that is actively supported and evolving.

Thanks @rnicholus, that's good news. We'll be following the updates on FineUploader.

The license change is complete. Fine Uploader 5.9.0 is released under an MIT license.
