pdf-parser.lisp will be upgraded to parse pdf version 1.7 or later?

I find that upgrading cl-pdf to handle newer PDF files (i.e., v1.7, or at least those devilish xref streams) would be a much thanked help for the Common Lisp community. Maybe we can offer a bounty here.
