Visual mode paste is broken in 1.0.6 #49

steps:

type some text, preferably two places
go to visual mode and yank the text
go to another place and select some text and press p

Expected: the text got replaced with what is yanked
Actual: it doesn't do anything, no matter how many times I repeat step 3

I even disable yankstack default mapping, but in verb vmap p I still see the mapping from yankstack, is this intended?
