This issue is meant to find a proper name for this project/spec/implementation. The current working title is Personal Data as a Service (PDaaS). It is okay-ish, but I think we can do much better. Any serious suggestions are welcome.

NOTICE: please provide, aside from the proposed name, also a reasonable explanation.

Personally I don't like the "as a Service" part because it sounds like you would offer your personal data as something purchasable. I would prefer a name that highlights the privacy improvement and data flow control.

the purchase thing is actually an idea that will be outlined in the conclusions chapter. the data I have in mind for such a case is somthing along the line of: I track my movement durng one week, and if a party, I think who might be serious and trushworthy enough (e.g. reseach, improve some public services, etc) is interested in those data, it can be purchased. of course, I as the data owner should be able to determine the precision of that data (sampling rate, accuracy of lat/lng, etc.).
it's not something I would personally do, but imho it's a reasonable and more explicit alternative to current practices.

However, I know what you mean, but I am stuck here as well. how about Personal Data Authority or digital identity as a resource (DIaaR) or digital identity instance/feed?

which words would symbolize privacy improvement or data flow control for you?
