Stutter after stopping typing

What Happened?

I've noticed when I'm typing, if I pause for a moment, there is a long stutter.
You can see in the perf profiler, here we go from updating quickly with each new letter, to suddenly pausing for about 600ms

This doesn't ever happen, so long as I keep typing continuously.

Reproduce the Bug

1. type some letters
2. pause for a tiny moment and then resume typing

No stutter
