Feature Request:

New toggle in player select menu: Standard / Party Mode

If launched in party mode, a random party effect should be applied every round.
The effect should be named and during the countdown, the effect name should appear on screen.

Here are some possible party effects:

  • Giant ball
  • Tiny ball
  • Constant slow mo
  • No bubbles
  • Slow mo zones speed up time
  • Reversed controls
  • Goals are swapped (start match in front of enemy goal)
  • Bubbles bounce enemy players
  • Colorblind
  • Invisible players

Another consideration: Maybe instead of swapping party effects every round, they swap on a more frequent timer.
There could be a small graphic on-screen that shows when the next effect will apply.

The party effects might apply at the beginning of rounds and then every 15 seconds after.

There should be a list of party effects that can be included/excluded easily.
This might be an in-game UI, or a game file that has a list of party effects that can be left in or commented out.

I think it would be wise to have a way to disable/enable particular party effects for testing and if a particular group is not having fun with a particular effect!
