Ben has made important contributions to the iscsi plugin and will take the lead on the CSI block work.

I think Ben should also be added to the kubernetes-csi org

Hey there @bswartz, unfortunately @xing-yang cannot sponsor you for membership in the @kubernetes org, but CAN sponsor you for membership in @kubernetes-csi.

An approver/reviewer in @kubernetes, may sponsor someone for the @kubernetes org or any of the related organizations (@kubernetes-sigs, @kubernetes-csi etc); as long as it's a project they're involved with.

However, this does not work the other way around. A sponsor that is only an approver/reviewer in @kubernetes-csi cannot sponsor someone for membership in @kubernetes. They are scoped just to the org they're associated with.

@bswartz If you'd like to amend your request to just @kubernetes-csi, we can proceed with getting your membership processed. Otherwise, if you could, please find another sponsor from the @kubernetes org.

If you have any questions don't be afraid to ask.

Thanks!

Oh, I thought Ben is applying for membership in kubernetes-csi org.

I am going to apply for membership in kubernetes-csi next. I'll get a different sponsor for kubernetes

@bswartz as a member of @kubernetes you may automatically be added to any of the other orgs such as @kubernetes-sigs or @kubernetes-csi without seeking sponsorship again. :) If you can find a @kubernetes sponsor, we can add you to both at the same time.

Can I just add both groups in this issue when I update the sponsor?

My apologies for a bit of back and forth @bswartz, but with @childsb +1 I was able to move forward with your request :)

With that I've created PR #466 that will add you to both the @kubernetes and @kubernetes-csi orgs. Once it gets merged, you should get membership invite notifications from both of them.

Welcome to @kubernetes! 🎉
