Lead generation - Sales owner must be limited only to the users of the same group

If a user is configured under permissions as a member of one or many groups the Sales Owner's option list must be limited to the users of the same group/s.
I'm familiar with lead generation but probably the same apply to quote or other entities.

I have checked this PR #1236 and it works with only now shows own sales owner list instead of all users name list:

But if we have created a user with group view optin then here shows a multiple times of same user name in the list or dropdown:

I checked again, and no duplicate data was found.

Please check you didn't make users with similar name

If this issue is faced then please share the test case.
