The main reason i was trying out spotify-qt is that i cant see easily what albums/artist i have favorited because i just see big cover arts and i just wanted a list of text.
In spotify-qt i have a little lib window with expands the tree of my favorite artists/albums - so i have to scroll in that tiny window (i know i could resize the left side).
But it would be far more logically - similar to the file explorer - to be able to double click and see the list on the main window.
Navigating should be similar to up/down e.g. artist->albums->songs and you can go back/level up.

The sidebar is not the optimal choice if you have more than 10 entries. The sidebar is a menu, with main entry points - but when your menu now gets 100's of submenus (albums, artists) its no longer a menu its just a very long list in a tiny window. It also does not offer the choice to enter a filter field or sort columns to the entries.
