2-panes for laptops

I've been using your software with org files and it is really a help
to get a better overview when working with large text files.

When I am working on a big monitor there is no problem for there is
enough place on the screen. But normally I use a 13" laptop and things
get crowded. Is there a way to reduce the visibility to 2-panes, like
your middle and right pane?

I looked into your lisp-code but most confess that I am lost .
Any help would be appreciated.
