This is a Next.js project bootstrapped with create-next-app.

Generating your NextJS11 app

  • AWS Amplify requires Node.js 14 and NextJS 11
  • By default, AWS Amplify uses yarn to build. Using npm would cause build problems!
  • Downgrade NextJS to version 11 by removing current version, and installing version 11.
nvm use 14
npx create-next-app my-nextjs-amplify-project
cd my-nextjs-amplify-project

#Downgrade NextJS cleanly
yarn remove next
rm -Rf node_modules && rm yarn.lock
yarn add next@^11.0.0
yarn install

#Check if Ampilfy can build it properly
yarn run build

Getting Started

First, run the development server:

npm run dev
# or
yarn dev

Open http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.

You can start editing the page by modifying pages/index.js. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.

API routes can be accessed on http://localhost:3000/api/hello. This endpoint can be edited in pages/api/hello.js.

The pages/api directory is mapped to /api/*. Files in this directory are treated as API routes instead of React pages.
