The model is no where to be found. The node only recognizes some gguf models. #69

The IC-light loader node doesn't recognize my model.

This seems to be a comfy bug that's going around, I don't know what causes it but I know it's not my nodes as people have fixed it by updating or re-installing ComfyUI itself. If update doesn't work, then I'd suspect some other node pack or some custom config causing this.

Thanks, but I did a fresh install of comfyUI just a few days ago.

Considering the fact that it only shows .gguf, which isn't a format ComfyUI by default or any of my nodes use, all I can think of is that it must be caused by some other custom node.

I can confirm, after several hours of pulling my hair out... there is definitely a conflict with another custom node. I tried putting the ic-light models in various /models directories (checkpoint, diffusion_models, unet, even ic_light)

I havent time to tinker with any Python to find out conflict, but I can confirm a fresh ComfyUI install with just the nodes needed for the IC-Light demo workflows had it working fine.

The model I installed through the ComfyUI-Manager, which placed it in /models/diffusion_models/IC-Light

NOT in the recommended /models/unet/ as per this repo's .md

Sorry it's not more help, but hopefully someone wont lose more hair than necessary

Edit: if I come across a repeat issue as I reinstall my custom nodes, I'll drop a line here

It's now been pretty much confirmed that this is caused by the nodepack FlowControl, at least if it's installed along with the GGUF loader nodes.

My IC model loader also only has gguf models. I haven't installed the nodepack. After deleting the plugins one by one for troubleshooting, I found that I could load the IC model after deleting the ComfyUI-Flow-Control plugin. Hope this can help you.
