Thanks for providing a FOSS-alternative to the quirky Amazon-downloader which
does not install cleanly under 64bit!

It works very well here, just missing cover download from Amazon - I want to
burn the songs to CD for older players and as a backup, so the original cover
artwort that Amazon provides for albums should also be downloaded.

Sorry I was wrongly assuming that Amazon offered printable album art for MP3
albums,
but unfortunately only iTunes cover-art is provided, so this feature is not
possible
to implement at the moment...

Yeah, there are image URLs provided in the amz file, but as far as I'm aware,
these
are the same (low-resolution) images that you see on the Amazon web site
itself. So
no, not much use for printing out, but I suppose they might still be handy if
you
wanted to build a graphical browser for your music collection. I could
certainly add
this feature if there's any interest.

can we retrofit this issue into making clamz aware of the new digital booklets
available for some Amazon MP3 albums, like Massive Attack's Heligoland?
These special MP3 albums include a PDF with cover art and booklet, so they do
listen to their customers after all... (I complained about missing cover
images:)

Actually, clamz already supports those files. It's just Amazon's web site
that's broken; I can't figure out any way to download the "deluxe" albums
without manually tweaking my browser cookies. Specifically, you need to set
the cookie 'dmusic_download_manager_enabled' to '1.0.9' (instead of the usual
'on' or '1.0.3'.)

If you try to download one of these albums without having the correct cookie
set, you'll be told that you need to upgrade your Amazon MP3 Downloader
(there's a link you can click on, indicating "I've already upgraded", but it
doesn't work.) There must be *some* way to persuade Amazon's servers to send
you the correct cookie, but I haven't found it.

Instead, be sure that you have Javascript enabled, then go to Amazon's home
page. While you're looking at Amazon's home page, type the following into your
URL bar:

  javascript:document.cookie='dmusic_download_manager_enabled=1.0.9; expires=Fri, 21 Dec 2012 12:00:00 UTC; path=/; domain=.amazon.com'

You should then be able to purchase "deluxe" albums. I haven't tested them
very thoroughly, however. I also have no idea whether this works or is
necessary for Amazon's non-US sites.

I would appreciate it if you could add downloading album art to clamz.
