Element.matches stack-overflows

Hello. I get a stack overflow running the project. This code below sets Element.prototype.matches to a function that calls this.matches. I haven't cracked the code to figure out what's going on here, what's going awry, but I'd love to see this library in action! Cross fingers, would really appreciate it if you can kick this back into action & I can see it run.

Problem line:

  Element.prototype[matchesName] = function(selector) {
    return this.matches(selector);
  };
