Description

Not sure if a repeat, perhaps a bit early, but how about a repo / website (maybe https://www.pling.com/browse) where users can share exported profiles and themes?

Yeah, this is definitely planned. I have not yet a clear idea on how to implement this, but it would be super-nice. Both for app-dependent menu layouts and for themes. It is already somewhat on the roadmap, but I think we did not have an issue for this yet.

I was redirected here from the discord with the same request.
Additional design criteria considerations suggested:

  1. Scalability
  2. Reliability (dodgy servers, bottlenecks etc)
  3. Ease of use -- contribution
  4. Ease of use -- searching (by using tags, categories, filters, sorts)
^like here it would be cool to separately look for entire menus, single functional modules, and icon/aesthetic themes etc

Btw, there's a dedicated channel on our Discord Server for sharing themes. Until we have something else, feel free to share your creations there!

For sharing menu layouts, we have #580. For menu themes, I have just created a repository. I think this will work for now. In the future, we should add the possibility to browse and install themes directly from within Kando.
