Issue reported by keinspamhier at Google Code:

What steps will reproduce the problem?

  1. pdf2djvu -o example.djvu example.pdf

  2. What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Clear lettering / scrambled letters (see the attached screenshots)

  1. What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

pdf2djvu 0.7.11 (DjVuLibre 3.5.24, poppler 0.18.2, GraphicsMagick++ 1.3.12, GNOME XSLT 1.1.26, GNOME XML 2.7.8) on Linux Mint mate Maya

Please provide any additional information below.

This comes up every once in a while. I've not yet found a connection between the affected files.

Addendum: I just noticed that the outline is being displayed correctly with djvusmooth - but looks broken in DJview (my default djvu application). I guess it might be a viewer problem (?)

Interesting. Could you send me the PDF file in private mail?

Alternatively, could you attach output of this command?

djvused -e print-outline example.djvu

Apparently the outline titles contains CR characters, which makes DjView unhappy.

I could probably teach pdf2djvu to replace all control characters with spaces. Hopefully nobody would miss them.
