Problem

The PDF viewer in JupyterLab does not auto-reload when the PDF changes.

I sometimes use JupyterLab to build/edit LaTeX files separate from the TeX blocks in notebooks. I currently have to close and re-open the PDF viewer tab to see changes to the PDF.

Proposed Solution

  • Watch PDF files for changes and reload the PDF viewer when these files change
