Encountered problems pip installing at two different levels. #2150
Comments
It appears that for some reason it didn't find the pre-built packages which exist for rpds-py, so it fell back to trying to build from source. I'm not sure why from your description, though - there are wheels for Python 3.11 on Windows. It also looks like something went wrong with dependency resolution - it's going back through many versions of nbconvert & jupyter_core trying to find a set of versions that all claim to be compatible. This is almost certainly the wrong thing to do, but resolving big webs of dependency constraints is hard. If you see this again, try telling it explicitly to install the latest version ( |
Did you find a fix for this? I'm having the same issue when trying to use plotly |
I might have fixed everything, but my cognitive memory is not the greatest to recall the exact steps taken to remedy the problem. Seems to me I concentrated my efforts on installing all the precursor requirements for the parts that failed during the install, and on the components of the components that failed during that. I think that I installed Rust and other stuff that it may have wanted but I didn't really need or want. Eventually, I ended up installing a lot more stuff, and that got rid of the error, but my system disk got really full of this extra stuff so I got rid of practically everything because my 2010 vintage Seagate mechanical SATA II, 2 Tbyte hard disk was getting way bogged down swapping stuff in place of having lots of free system semiconductor memory. Years ago, I had 32 Gbytes of DDR3 under lifetime warrantee, when one of the 8 Gbyte DIMMs failed on me so that I kept getting blue screens. Some memory testing determined that only one of the four installed DIMMs was getting routine errors and the others were problem-free. I have a 1997 dual 150 MHz CPU Pentium Pro with Tyan mainboard that uses Error Correction RAM. I fired that old beast up again about a week ago and there seems no memory problems with that. Amazing, but slow. It was running NT 4 Server, and working fine. Reference I was also playing around with that optimizing compiler from Modular that portions off some of the processing load to one's GPU card. It worked on the Intel Core i7 2600 to do parallel processing of data, but my GPU is too old (GTX 570) because Nvidia Linux and Windows drivers only supports GTX 1600 series and upward to do this kind of processing so I was Sh*t out of luck running any cool algorithms on my old 2010 computer system with that. That was some of the other stuff of that I got rid. My license for Visual C++ pro preview edition ran out, so I had to downgrade to the 2022 community preview edition of that. Just came across the YouTube video... It says that AI alignment can be better implemented using logic axioms and mathematically provable logic so that AI hallucinations are largely mitigated. But, this could be abused to push only slanted political views that promote wokeness, and destruction of all creation by riots by fools where all cities are lit on fire--AGAIN. Reference Dr. Jordan B. Peterson sits down in-person with author, historian, and professor of political science, Dr. Paul Kengor. They discuss the early writings of Marx regarding his preference for devil and demon interactions. Marx wrote poetry about nonsense of destroying all that originated from the so called creator. Almost identical ideological analysis has been done by mathematician Dr. James Lindsay regarding left wing activism devotees philosophical origins. Others similarly say that Marx got engrossed in high esoteric levels of Freemasonry that is involved in mystery school philosophies regarding summoning and channeling of other dimensional alien beings or spirits or demons. The knights Templar were involved in setting up Banking and Law in the UK and likely other places in Europe. Those knights got involved in and promoted spread of Freemasonry to all lodges in Europe. Scottish Rite and York Rite. George Washington US President hoped that this nonsense was not going to spread to the USA, but sadly it did so. The world HQ for communism at one point more than a century ago moved to NY City. Our education degree issuing institutions are neck deep in promotion of Marxist socialism stuff and that is why they are chanting all sorts of slogans about nonsense about which none seem to know any nuanced information about all aspects of this crap and that our school systems are factories for activists who want to destroy all of civilization because they have been fed nonsense that innocent people invented slavery when British abolitionist William Wilberforce got the Navy there to put a complete stop of the slave trade internationally. And importing slaves to the USA was outlawed very early on. The African slaves were initially viewed as "foreign nationals" that were supposed to have been repatriated, but rich people wanting cheap labor did not want them sent to Liberia, Africa. Lincoln was killed and all plans were abandoned for all kinds of things including non-inflationary silver backed currency that was hated by international bankers who were part of the conspiracy to assassinate Lincoln. |
Copilot advised me to try cython, and got me to also install jupyter. When installing Jupyter, it was having extreme troubles trying to get nbconvert to also install properly. I am on Windows 10 Professional, latest Windows update as of right now. I have python 3.11 installed as of a couple of weeks ago. For about 20 hours, it was working on installing nbconvert of various versions when I got sick of waiting for the thing to get back to the command prompt. I am running MS VS MSVC++ 2022 professional preview edition. I then tried to pip install nbconvert.
Here are the diagnostics that claim a problem was encountered. I am running this at the cmd prompt of a regular user windows 10 professional of the latest windows update, etc.

The Copilot AI was provided this same information, and it suggested that I install Rust, and Cargo to get this thing going, but why should I have to do that?
