Very cool project you've got going on. One thing to consider is maybe mapping CA state jobs jobs to the Department of Labor Data at Work. They have an api as well.
Awesome, the API tool that may be used to link our job spec descriptions with federal SOC codes is https://www.onetonline.org also owned by DOL. It looks like data at work is the next generation, exactly in line with what we want to do, increasing reporting consistency andinteroperability.
Lets research the relationship between this DOL effort and BLS work, will share what I find. Thanks for the link!
