it would be a peace of mind if one know that he/she is in safe mode and he can not mess with the database,

could you please add a readonly mode toggle in the application?

That would be a good idea. I'm taking note.

I'm closing this because there are more important features to implement right now. Maybe in the future if this get enough interest we can reopen.

Thanks

@unikzforce I've just checked the code, as I'd like to also have this.
Theoretically, you could already do this, since database URLs are parsed using https://github.com/xo/dburl and the library itself supports passing custom options to database drivers. You just have to find out the syntax for the database drivers if it supports it.
Also, I guess it's the sanest way to do it, as string syntaxes could change between drivers and that would be plain madness for @jorgerojas26 to maintain.
Now I'm AFK on mobile and short on time soon to test it myself. I'll try it as soon as I need it, which will eventually come.
However, @unikzforce, if you beat me at trying it, please let us know and I'll happily send a PR to document it for others.
@jorgerojas26 would you mind keeping the issue open for a short grace period to allow interested parties to chime in? I understand the need of keeping tidy the issue queue, but maybe a "help welcome" label or similar which you can filter out would help you keeping this out of your sight, if that's just what you need (just a suggestion, YMMV).
Thanks for sharing such s useful piece of software, @jorgerojas26 !
