Help (Side by side)
- Click on Components on the Navbar
- Select Multilingual Associations
- Filter the item you want to edit
- Click it on the list
This is the back-end screen where you can edit items side-by-side, after selecting a reference item you can switch the target and apply the changes you desire without going back and forth. This will also preserve existing associations and will create new ones on the fly.

On the side-by-side view you can edit the reference and the target's fields, for details on what these fields are, refer to:
At the top you will see the toolbar, it has two states:

No target selected

Target selected

Save reference. Saves the reference item.

Save target. Saves the target item.

Copy Reference to target. Copies all fields from the reference to the target, this is useful when there are lots of fields in common.

Close. Closes the current screen and returns to the previous screen without saving any modifications you may have made.
Besides the toolbar, there are also some buttons present on the target, also with two states like the toolbar, new item and existing item, when there's no target selected there are no buttons present.

Select Target Language - : Language switcher, switch between target languages. Select target. Selects a custom target from the item list, it will be loaded on the target. Change target. Same as above but appears when there's an existing item on the target instead of a new one. Clear. Clears the current association and resets the language switcher.
