dom-repeat example- concatation issue #1

In dom-repeat example item values are not rendered. Instead code rendered as it is.
{{item.qty}} - {{item.name}} (#{{index}})

This is because of issue Polymer/polymer#1758
URL has the solution for it.

But not sure how did it work in the demo video.
Please advise if it is a polymer version issue or somethig else.
