Unable to use per project globalSetup/Teardown

I have a jest configuration using the changes merged in #6865

module.exports = {
  projects: [
    {
      displayName: 'storageclasses',
      globalSetup: '<rootDir>/components/storageclasses/test/0-setup.js',
      globalTeardown: '<rootDir>/components/storageclasses/test/teardown.js',
    },
  ],
};

However, when I run Jest, the globalSetup step never gets executed. Am I misunderstanding how this is supposed to work?

Does it work if you have multiple projects?
